Introduction

The Oklahoma Lottery (the “Lottery”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of information collected through its website(s) and mobile application(s) (hereinafter “Sites”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us using the information provided below.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to products or services provided, or information obtained, other than through the Sites.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we treat it. By interacting with our Sites or providing us with your information, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before collecting or using your information for specific purposes.

We may change this policy from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of the Sites after we make changes as described here constitutes acceptance of those changes, so please check back often for updates. Please keep in mind that some of the services mentioned in this policy may not be available at this time, or on all of the Sites.

Information We Collect

The types and categories of personal information we process include:

  • Personal and Non-Personal Information: The Lottery collects both personal and non-personal information. “Personal information” is information that is linked or reasonably linked to an identified or identifiable individual, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and account details. This information may be collected when you register, participate in promotions, update your account, or communicate with the Lottery. Non-personal information is data that cannot reasonably be linked to you or your device, such as aggregated or technical data that does not directly identify you. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, the term personal information does not include de-identified data or publicly available information.

  • Information Collected Through Your Use of the Services: The Lottery automatically collects information when you interact with the Sites. This may include transaction history, gameplay activity, pages visited, time spent on the platform, and how you interact with features. Technical data such as IP address, device type, browser, and operating system may also be collected.

  • Location and Sensitive Information: The Lottery may collect location data, including approximate and, where permitted, precise geolocation. Precise geolocation data will only be collected with your express and affirmative consent, in accordance with applicable law. You may withdraw your consent at any time for the processing of this data by using available privacy controls or contacting us.

  • Information Collected Through Communications: If you contact the Lottery, we may collect your contact details and the information you provide in your message for support, troubleshooting, or feedback purposes.
We collect and process personal information only where we have an appropriate basis to do so under applicable law and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. If you choose not to provide or allow us to collect certain information, we may not be able to provide you with requested features, services, or information.

How We Collect Information

Information is collected through several methods depending on how you interact with the Sites.

  • Direct Collection: We collect much of the information listed above directly from you when you choose to submit it on our Sites. This includes information such as registration information, contact information, and user submissions. If you do not want to share your information, you can choose not to participate in the related service or activity.

  • Indirect Collection – Cookies and Other Technology: We and our service providers use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us through your computer or mobile device. We may use these technologies to:

    1. Provide you with personalized content based on your use of our Sites.

    2. Enable you to more easily use our Sites by remembering and using contact information, purchasing information and registration information.

    3. Evaluate, monitor and analyze the use of our Sites and its traffic patterns to help improve our Sites and services.

    4. Assist us with ad reporting functions, such as to learn which ads are bringing users to our Sites, and to tailor our offerings and communications with you.

To the extent any of these automated technologies are considered a personal data sale, targeted advertising, or profiling under applicable law, you have the right to opt out of these technologies for such uses (see “Your Choices and Rights” below). You may also be provided with the ability to manage your preferences through your browser settings, your device's privacy settings, or any available cookie or consent management tools on the Sites. If you opt out or disable certain technologies, please note that some features of the Sites may be unavailable as a result.

The types of technologies we use for this indirect data collection include:

  • Cookies: A cookie is a small amount of data that is placed on your device when you interact with the Sites. Cookies enable us to identify your browser as a unique user. Cookies may involve the transmission of information from us to you and from you to us. You may refuse to accept or disable cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser or device. For example, the Help feature on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Additionally, you can disable or delete similar data used by browser add-ons by changing the add-on’s settings or visiting the site of its manufacturer. However, if you remove the ability to use cookies, you may lose some features or functionality of the Sites.

  • Web Analytics: Web analytics may track IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, click events, page views, and similar usage information. We utilize this information to analyze trends, administer and improve the Sites, prevent fraud, track website navigation in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

  • Mobile Device Identifiers: Mobile device identifiers, or mobile device IDs are unique identifiers which can be used to identify a mobile device that uses our mobile app.

  • Web Beacons: Web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags, or single-pixel gifs) are small electronic files embedded in web pages or emails that help us understand how users interact with our content. Unlike cookies, which are stored on your device, web beacons operate when a page or email is accessed and send limited information back to our systems. We use web beacons to measure activity and engagement, such as counting the number of users who visit certain pages, understanding which content is most popular, and determining whether emails have been opened. This helps us improve our Sites, enhance user experience, and ensure our systems are functioning properly. This means we can better understand how our services are used and continue to refine and improve the content, features, and communications we provide.

  • Mobile Software Development Kit: A mobile software development kit (“SDK”) is a collection of software code and tools that are integrated into a service to enable specific functionality, such as analytics, advertising, authentication, or performance monitoring. SDKs may collect information about how users interact with the Sites and, in some cases, may share that information with the SDK provider or other third parties in order to provide these services.

  • HTML5 Storage: In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies to store or access information on your device. These include browser-based storage mechanisms such as local storage and session storage (often referred to as HTML5 storage), as well as device identifiers and, where permitted, probabilistic identifiers (sometimes referred to as device fingerprinting).

We use these technologies to support the functionality of our Sites, remember your preferences, enhance security, and better understand how our Sites are used, including through analytics and performance measurement. Where permitted by law, these technologies, including device fingerprinting, may also be used to support our marketing and advertising activities, such as delivering more relevant content and advertising, tailoring experiences to individual users, and measuring the effectiveness of campaigns.

For players, this means we can provide a more seamless and personalized experience, maintain the security and reliability of our services, and continue to improve how our Sites perform. You can manage certain types of browser-based storage through your browser settings, which may allow you to delete or block stored data.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DISABLE CERTAIN TECHNOLOGIES, INCLUDING COOKIES, MOBILE DEVICE IDENTIFIERS, OR GEOLOCATION SERVICES, YOUR ABILITY TO USE SOME AREAS AND FUNCTIONS OF THE SITES AND SERVICES MAY BE LIMITED.

Indirect Collection – Social Networking: The Sites may permit you to use third party social networking platforms, and/or social media plugins for such platforms, including but not necessarily limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X. The Lottery may also engage with users through third-party social networking platforms or use those platforms to promote its services, communicate with you, and offer and provide you with promotions, contests, or campaigns.  When you use social networking platforms and plugins, you share your information with them and their privacy policy applies to the disclosure of such information. Social media platforms may independently collect or receive information about your interactions with their services or with Lottery-related content and may use that information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies to understand how your information is handled. We may add new social networking platforms and/or plugins and buttons to our Sites from time to time.

Indirect Collection – Third Party Advertising Services: We may employ over time various advertising or marketing tools and services that serve you targeted advertisements to make your online experience more relevant to your interests. These tools and technologies collect and analyze certain types of information, including cookies, IP addresses, device and software identifiers, referring and exit uniform resource locators (URLs), onsite behavior and usage information, feature use metrics and statistics, usage and purchase history, media access control (MAC) address, mobile unique device identification and other similar information. Such third-party service providers may process, collect, or receive information on the Lottery’s behalf in order to provide the requested services. This processing is governed by applicable agreements and limited to the purposes for which the information is provided or obtained.
